Privacy and data use

Handling private manuscripts and account information.

Policy version 1.0 · Effective date 2026-10-20

Data and purposes

The operator is RUM PUBLISHING GROUP LLC; contact editor@rum-journal.com. Names, emails, password hashes, affiliations/countries, manuscripts, declarations, reviews, participation and security records support accounts, editorial work, events and publication. Confidential reviews and unpublished files are not public.

Public metadata and services

Published metadata may include names, affiliations, countries and authenticated ORCID iDs; personal email is not shown on the standard paper page. DOI registration sends bibliographic metadata to Crossref and ORCID linking uses the relevant OAuth exchange. Certificate verification exposes minimal data and a masked holder name.

Cookies, retention and requests

Necessary first-party cookies maintain sessions and CSRF protection. Behavioral advertising is not currently announced. Access is role-limited and backups/audit records are protected. Send correction, access or deletion requests from your registered email; identity is checked. Retention of published scholarly records, disputes and necessary audits may limit deletion. Unestablished retention periods are not promised.
