Policy version 1.0 · Effective date 2026-10-20
Before and after publication
Before publication, the corresponding author requests withdrawal with a reason and coauthor agreement. After publication, limited errors may receive a correction, while findings that undermine reliability may require retraction after investigation. Records are not silently replaced; persistent links and notices are retained.
Notice content
A notice identifies the paper, date, reason, decision maker and effect on the findings. Retraction corrects the scholarly record rather than punishing individuals. A substantiated warning may be published separately during a serious unresolved investigation. Associated DOI metadata must be updated where relevant.
Complaints and appeals
Send editor@rum-journal.com the paper identifier, decision date, specific objection and new verifiable evidence. Appeals about scientific decisions, procedural complaints and ethics allegations are considered on their respective merits. An uninvolved handler is appointed where possible. Responses explain the evidence; reconsideration does not guarantee acceptance.
