Generative AI policy

Human responsibility and transparent use.

Policy version 1.0 · Effective date 2026-10-20

Author disclosure

Disclose the tool/version, purpose and human checks when AI assists content, code, analysis or images. If AI is part of the research method, provide enough information for reproducibility. Authors remain responsible for generated text, references, calculations and images; fabricated data and citations are unacceptable.

Protecting confidential review

Editors and reviewers must not upload unpublished manuscripts, reports or personal data to public AI services without authorization. Even with an approved tool under verified confidentiality conditions, humans provide the scholarly assessment and decision. AI is not named as an author or independent reviewer.

Assessment and images

AI-detector output alone is insufficient for an accusation or rejection; methods, evidence and author explanations are considered. Illustrative AI images must not be represented as experimental evidence or documentary photographs. Processing scientific images must not distort the underlying evidence.
